X wing lite

Is it possible to make an Xwing lite, meaning a desk without physical preamps. I use a Midas stagebox and I don’t see the need for physical I/O on my desk. It makes the desk heavy (just like my current x32 compact with flight case). A desk with AES50, Remote, Midi etc… connections could work perfectly and be far lighter than the current Xwing, Midas or Behringer. I think it could be the best selling desk yet.
