Wing Q - Background running efficiency

When the Wing-Q app is running in the background, it drains my battery so quickly! It would be awesome if there was some kind of efficiency change for when the app is pushed to the background so that it stops receiving all of the data via wifi and when the app goes back to the foreground it does a quick sync.
