WING-DAC / WING-ADC - 16 Channel DB25 Analogue Expansion Card

I think its fair to say that the reduction in outputs on the recently released WING Rack has caused a stir. Let’s look past the fact those headphone outputs should have been driven from the AUX signals and move onto pushing for a solution.

With only 8 analogue XLR outputs, and a maximum of 14 outputs total (8XLR, AES3, Front Headphone socket) it only just about covers the needs of an “All in one” IEM rig solution and is not enough if the rig is also your FOH stage rack.

In line with other mixers on the market with card slots; how about an expansion card with a DB25 connector (or two) to provide 8-16 channels of analogue output. The “WING-DAC” Allowing compact IEM rigs to be created without the need to add an entire rack unit worth of IO (StageConnect) to supply signals to a set of IEM Transmitters.
