UMC 1820 Loopback
Hi. I have added this to the Wing ideas board as I cannot find a dedicated one for the UMC1820.
After using the interface for around a week, I have realised that there is one feature that I would love to see more than anything else… Loopback.
I am using all of my outputs and all of my inputs (including adat ins) for a hybrid mixing setup, but I have never used the Coaxial SPDIF, which is why I think it would be invaluable to add an assignable software loopback channel in the UMC control software.
As someone who creates content based around music production, this would not only elevate the interface to the level of the likes of Audient’s ID14 MKII and the Focusrite in price, and in software features barre the software mixer (which would be perfect).
Please let me know if this is doable, and when this can be done by, as I can’t record my audio from ableton on MacOS, and I have to use FL Studio Asio on Windows (as this sends a signal to the windows audio drivers rather than being a direct asio driver), which means that I lose some project stability, making it more likely for the project to crackle, pop, break up etc.
