Have you thought of doing a multitrack recording with onboard DSP pluggin that is tap-based function , such that the effect of onboard processing is printed oncaptured the multitrack data.

Tap points, pre fade, Pre EQ/Post EQ, direct out, Pre/Post Pre-amp, Pre-Post Mute etc. This is Sweet if implemented.
