I would like to see the upper limit of the X/M32 tap delay time increased from the current limit of 3000ms to at least 3750ms or even 4000ms. I mix FOH sound for a Pink Floyd tribute act and when we do the song “Dogs” there is a section in the final minute of the song where the lead vocal repeats on the downbeat of every measure (once every 4 beats). The tempo at this point of the song is about 68.143 bpm which translates to a necessary delay time of 3522ms. SInce the X/M32 tap delay has a maximum delay time of 3000ms, I instead have to use an outboard digital delay unit in order to achieve the desired effect. This also sadly burns an extra channel for the return from the outboard digital delay unit.
