Please place the Wing's input delay after GAIN like X32.
Hi, I'm sorrygom, a Korean church sound YouTuber.
This is my first time writing, so I'm not sure if it's okay to say this. Please understand if it goes against the rules.
I'd appreciate it if someone could pass this information on to the Behringer Wing staff.
I mostly use X32, and I like to use it by delaying the kick, snare, and tom toms so that the starting point matches the drum overhead mic sound source.
This method has a huge merit for me. First, it feels like the drum sound is cleaner, and most of all, since the input delay is applied, when you gate the kick, snare, and tom toms, it creates a situation like LOOK AHEAD, so it protects the sound from being ruined by the fast attack time of the gate.
The X32 has the input delay BEFORE gain, but unfortunately, the Behringer Wing has it in the POST FADER. So I can't use the input delay technique on the drum channel gate.
I would like the Wing's channel input delay to be positioned before the gate, or to be able to change the position as an option.
Can someone please pass this information to the Wing developers so that the channel input delay can be set before the gate?
I've been missing this for years.
Thanks for reading.Hope you all have a great day.-----------------------------------
Ah! This method is when you use the trigger sidechain on drums.
The drum source is given a delay time, so that the trigger signal makes the gate activate a few milliseconds before the drum source.
