New FX - Clipper

I'd love to see a clipper fx added to the Behringer Wing ecosystem—something tailored for transient-heavy sources like snares, toms, kicks etc.

Clippers are a staple in modern mixing workflows, especially in genres where punch, presence, and perceived loudness are key. Unlike compressors, a good clipper offers a more transparent way to control peaks without squashing the dynamics or altering the tone too much..

Some use cases would be:

  • Shaping snare transients to preserve headroom.

  • Adding grit and presence to drum buses

  • Subtle peak taming on percussive instruments

  • Gentle distortion for a bit of analog-like coloration

Features wishlist:

  • Adjustable threshold/ceiling

  • Soft and hard clipping modes

  • Simple metering for input/output levels

I think this would be a valuable addition to the Wing’s powerful internal FX suite, especially for engineers who want more modern sound-shaping tools without relying on external gear or software. Great for metal, and other hard hitting mixes.
