Manual: A real online, IN-DEPTH and fully illustrated operation manual.
I am searching through unofficial Wikis and whatever I can find to get the kind of information that used to be contained in the in-depth manuals that used to come with what are, essentially, computers. I realize the litany of issues with hard-copy manuals which are out of date before the item is unboxed. I do not want a paper manual. I do, however, want and need the kind of information that is contained in one.
An in-depth manual that covers operation of the Wing series should be available to owners online, and regularly updated to remain current with firmware throughout the life of the product. “How-to” appendices could be included to cover the most used operations, and especially to explain and illustrate the many functions that could be utilized if owners knew how to take advantage of them.
Yes, I understand this is a huge document request (or series of them), but also know that all the data to have a “sound man level” document is already in hand. I’m no novice on a mixing desk, but find myself regularly scratching my head with frustration over simply finding how to make this desk work as I want it. I am also quite certain that I am missing a good portion of its capabilities simply because I don’t know they are there, or have never had the capability in the past. I’ve watched hours of videos, read all of the quick start manuals included, and still don’t know what many of the icons and pages of control do or how they can benefit me. Thank you to Drew Brashler and others who have been a huge help, but an official document is sorely needed, and glaring in its absence.
If this information already exists (and I have looked everywhere I can think of to find it), please point me in this direction. If I am not getting way to far out there, access through available Wing apps would be splendid.
