It would be really neat to be able to hook up a reference mic, calibrate it, and be able to see current SPL levels all inside the console. This would be great in situations that don’t require a full Smaart rig, but just SPL.Time weighted OSHA and NIOSH exposure measurements would also be helpful, but that’s a lot more complicated. Monitoring LUFS for broadcast would be equally helpful. Maybe it could follow the source selection of the meters next to the screen, and optionally replace the clock?
