Roadmap

Latency compensation for Internal FX racks.

Simple example - I have a vocalist mic, which is routed to both main and via bus to the same main. It’s lined up and I have no phase issues until I start adding FX.

I understand that I can fix it by inserting the time difference to the input channel to main delay. By the way, you added more flexible tools for it in the new firmware, big thank you for that!

But the things are getting worse if I need to change some processing on the fly, for example add/remove some FX racks. The time difference is not matching again and I have to re-measure it again.

In a live gig situations you’re always on a clock, so the band or artist won’t wait for me measuring processing delays.

Will it be possible for the console to know the fixed latency of each FX insert, and the latency of internal INPUT>BUS>MAIN routing to automatically compensate the time difference so that everything can always be in phase?

As an alternative solution I’m thinking about measuring the latency of every rack and routing combination and gather it in google sheet or something, but it’s a hassle.

Maybe I’m missing something?
