Independent Insert Points

Currently, external insertions are only possible if we sacrifice FX slots for them, and even then, a maximum of 16 are available. This significantly complicates the use of outboards, whether we are talking about analog or digital (Waves, LiveProfessor, Fourier). In most consoles of a similar category, it is possible to insert on every channel without using FX slots. Is it possible to make this work for the Wing as well? (It is possible to run all channels through the outboards in the routing, but in that case, they are not inserted, and in the event of a malfunction, the entire chain would go silent.)
