Roadmap

I have a really harsh and tiring sound coming from my Midas DP48. Seem to be boosted around 2khz and 800hz.

Any information as to why my the WING direct out sound on the Midas DP48, sounds extremely harsh with plugging a bass directly to it? Its unplayable without creating a separate bus for the bass guitar and using a different eq and compressor! Is there any workaround to make it sound smoother? Or is the Wings default preamp equalizer just heavily colored?

I’m going from my bass, to a DI box, and then from the DI box XLR to the stage box. Before we got the Midas DP48, the sound engineer sent me a separate bus on the Wing, with a EQ and Compressor that i had tweaked on the phone app connected to the WIng, and i was happy, but i did have to cut a lot of harsh frequencies, as if they were boosted by default. I know every "interface" is different, but when i plug my bass into my Audient usb interface and listen to it completely flat, it sounds amazing, whereas on the Wing it sounds like its extremely high mid and treble so harsh its unbearable...

P.S Is there no other way to create a “Post EQ” setting on my bass channel, with the Midas DP48? We are currently using direct out, but before on the M32, the sound engineer would get my input channel, duplicate it and send it to another channel, which that duplicate channel, was set to “Post EQ” and sent to my P16 personal monitor, and tweaked exactly how i liked it, with eq and compressor, in order to play…

As i understand the only way to do that with the Wing is to create a BUS and send that into the P-16, but thats not possible now with the DP48, because all channels are set to direct out…
