High-Pitched Noise from Wing Rack Power Supply in Quiet Studio Environment
Dear Behringer Support Team,
I would like to report an issue I’ve encountered with my Wing Rack console. In my quiet home studio environment, the power supply emits a high-pitched noise, resembling coil or transformer whine. While I understand that such noise would likely go unnoticed in noisy live sound environments, the Wing Rack also seems to be marketed for studio use, where this type of noise becomes quite noticeable and even disruptive, particularly when recording music in the same space.
I attempted several solutions, but none resolved the issue until I connected a DN4816O stagebox, which caused the noise to disappear. This leads me to reasonably suspect that the noise may be related to the power supply operating under low load conditions.
Although I am pleased that the issue is resolved in my case, I believe this is not ideal for a professional product. Such noise could affect its usability in quiet studio environments and may create a perception of the product being lower quality, which could harm the Behringer brand’s image.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope it can be addressed to ensure better user experiences in similar environments.
Best regards
