Cuelist management Improvements
Hi everyone,
Cuelist is such a powerfull tool in the WING, so impressive.
It’s really great to have such tool at our disposal and it offers a really impressive flexibilty when programming a Show. It’s one of the many things that puts the WING above their concurrents.
But here is some things that’s making my life hard when i need to manage my Cues in a Heavy Cuelist Show :
Moving a Cue UP or DOWN is a single Cue operation.
So even if you linked 2 or 3 Cues together, they don’t move a a group, you need to move each one of them individually. It doesn’t make sense to me, they should move together since you just decided they sould be fired together…
Moving UP or DOWN is a one step at a time operation
If the last Cue should eventually be the first in you Cuelist, it’s a lot of UP button press XD So a MOVE function would be great ! Maybe also a multi-selection tool ? So we can select an entire section of the Cuelist and move the section in a single operation.
No COPY/PASTE option
I programmed a Cue to send a midi note to my laptop to remotely hit play/stop/go/… in Ableton/Reaper/Qlab/… Each time i need to insert a “GO” midi cue in my Cuelist, i have to manually re-enter the Midi TX String of the Cue… It’s a nightmare XD. It would help sooooo much to be able to copy/paste an existing Cue with all his propreties (tag/midi/…)
So for me, those improvements would make this Cuelist Tool so much flexible and fluid :
Linked Cues should be grouped as a “unit” when moved in the Cuelist
Copy / Cut / Paste / Multi-Selection fuctions should be available
Maybe also an easier midi TX string encoding ? I thing for most people, selecting which kind of command (note/CC/…) on wich channel would be so easier/quicker to use than the manual tx string writing… But that’s maybe that’s just me being lazy ;-)
Curious to know what people feel about all this.
Thanks again for your support !
Yves
