convolution / Impulse response fx rack

The addition of a convolution or impulse response Insert fx would be amazing.

In the case of impulse responses, you could vastly improve the sound of varying acoustic instruments when using external mic’s is not a practical option and going direct into the console is necessary. For example electric violins, cello’s, double bass, piezo electric or even internal mic acoustic guitars, as well as others can all be vastly improved tonally with impulse responses. e.g https://www.3sigmaaudio.com/acoustic-impulses/

Impulse response loading would also Improve the sounds of amp sims going direct, make the internal guitar amp effects in the wing more useable and tweakable with cabinet impulse responses.

There is also the possibility of “mic” impulses to colour the sound of one vocal mic to be closer to another, though the recording space would have an influence it would add a fun way to play with mic tonality. e.g https://micirp.blogspot.com/p/about-micirp.html

in the case of convolution being possible, the reverb effects are endless, obviously there are varying things you can to do the convolution source in a plugin but this would open the wing up to a number of amazing spaces as reverbs as well as strange special effects being possible.

If internal storage is an issue would it be possible to use the SD expansion card to hold the impulse response or convolution .wav files, we can already initiate playback, so can we not use the .wav file from an SD in the insert effect?
