Behringer iOS App Update Changes
Greetings Everyone,
We wanted to give you an update on our iOS app update strategy across our suite of applications: X Air MIX, CoPilot, FLOW MIX, MX MIX, MX Q, SHOW MIX and WING Q.
We will be unable to support iOS 14 and older.
We always try to make our products as affordable as possible. This includes supporting our apps on older iOS devices. We became aware of issues with the more recent updates to WING-Q and Wing CoPilot apps. Users on legacy iOS devices had non-functional apps with the newest WING firmware (2.1). Along with this, we must compile on the most recent Xcode version for app store submission. This limits the amount of debugging possible for these older iOS versions. Because of these issues, we wanted to communicate our iOS App strategy.
We have supported these less than 80 customers using older iOS versions for as long as possible. However, Apple’s restricted support of legacy iOS has forced us to make this decision. If still running legacy iOS versions, make sure your device has automatic app updates turned off.
Moving forward, new app updates will need iOS 15 and newer. These new versions will also include a check for software-firmware mismatches between mobile devices and Behringer products. If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out to our support team.
We thank you for your continued support.
