Automatic threshold dynamic processor

Hi. Since there can be an automatic-threshold deesser, what if there was also an overall dynamic processor with an automatic threshold? A dynamic eq or a multiband compressor.

A standard fixed-level dynamic eq set to compress the lows cannot recognize if the sound level is higher because the mic was put closer to the mouth (and thus increasing the proximity effect) or if the singer/speaker/pastor started to talk louder without changing the distance. In the first case, the eq on the lows should compress, in the second case not.

If the threshold was dynamic and would compare other frequencies’ level, this would work as desired. And then a normal wide-band compressor could be used to tame the overall dynamics.
